Students will be required to read 15 independent reading books by the end of the year. Books must be at grade level or above, however, students have the freedom to choose their own books - from home, the library or our classroom library. One book must be read from each of the following 8 genres and 7 may be free choice:
- Fantasy
- Adventure
- Mystery
- Realistic Fiction
- Historical Fiction
- Science Fiction
- Biography/Autobiography/Memoir
- Informational
