I am so happy to be back for my sixth year
at Colina Middle School! 6th grade is a year filled with fun, exciting, and sometimes scary changes as students transition from elementary school to secondary school. I am honored to be part of this special year in your child's life. I was born and raised in Southern California. I earned my bachelor's degree in speech communications with a public relations minor at California State University, Northridge. I completed my teaching program at California Lutheran University earning single-subject credentials in both English and Social Science. In May, I graduated from CLU with a Master's degree in Teacher Leadership.
I have been married for 28 years and have two wonderful kids, Alexis (age 25) and Josh (age 23). Our children could not be more opposite, especially relating to school. Through their very different school experiences, they both inspired me to follow my dream and pursue my teaching career. My passion is to inspire students of all levels and abilities to unlock their potential and be successful.
Spending time with my family is very important to me. I also enjoy hanging out with friends, great conversation, the beach, going to concerts, trying new restaurants, binge-watching Netflix and NFL football - Go Broncos! I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and to a wonderful year together! :) Mrs. LaMagna |
